What is the process like?
A.Hooray, you've decided to invest in capturing your family through photography & videography! After I've received your inquiry form, we'll chat to discuss what you're envisioning for your session. Once you're ready to book, I'll send you a contract and invoice. There will also be a questionnaire you'll fill out to make sure we get all the necessary details jotted down - family member names, a shot list, what makes the kids laugh, etc. The conversation will continue to flow throughout this process, up until the actual shoot. From there, the editing process begins. Once complete, you'll receive your final products in a digital gallery for download which will be available for 30 days.
Do you have location recommendations?
A.Yes! Part of my questionnaire includes getting to know what's most important to your family and your desired look for photos/video. I use that information to come up with a list of options that are unique for your family. Maybe you prefer the woods, or are more interested in having colorful blooms. If water is important, we'll work that in. I'll offer you my suggestions based on your input from a list of tried-and-true venues.
If you have a special location that is near and dear to your family, consider that a unique option for your photos/video. Wouldn't capturing your family on their horse farm or around the backyard pond be perfect? I sure think so!
What should we wear?
A.I recommend light, neutral colors and coordinated outfits. Mom should choose her outfit first - whatever makes her feel beautiful and comfortable! Choose the remaining outfits to compliment mom's, but something that isn't too matchy. For men/boys: henley tees, chambray button downs, or a solid colored-collared shirts paired with neutral pants are great options. For women/girls: skirts paired with a complimentary shirt or a flowy dress will look fantastic. As for baby (newborn sessions), they can be dressed in a special outfit or simply a solid-color onesie. I will bring swaddling wraps made for photos that baby can also be bundled in. Overall, think timeless and coordinated colors, but not completely matching. For all outfits, no logos, graphics, or big tags. The goal of the photos is to capture the family's love, so we want to avoid anything that would detract from allowing the attention from being completely on your family's relationship! Please feel free to send me outfit choices if you are stuck and trying to make a decision.
When will I get my photos and video?
A.The editing timeframe is typically 2-4 weeks. All deliverables will arrive in your client gallery and should be downloaded and saved to a personal storage device.
How can I order prints?
A.Yay for prints! My print shop will be open to you following delivery of your gallery. It's simple to order straight through your gallery, seeing personalized options with your new photos on display.
